Donations
Thank you for considering a donation to help promote opportunities through assistive technology.
Imagine for a moment how you would feel if you were unable to communicate your needs, feelings, problems and triumphs? Through the wonder of assistive technology, people are given the ability to express these things. And often, it is for the very first time.
Concerned about the lack of services that would allow those with limited abilities to communicate and participate in the community, a dedicated group of parents and friends founded ASSETS (Assistive School System Educational Technology Services), Inc. Our non-profit organization serves the southeastern Massachusetts region and our mission is to develop and enhance local expertise in assistive technology.
As one of our volunteers, Jess Miller, writes: "I saw first-hand the tremendous impact that a talking, interactive computer had on a young boy who could not talk or hold a pencil. Yet he was able to "speak" to my daughter and they became good friends. That friendship was valuable to them both in so many ways. And that's why I'm serving as a volunteer for ASSETS, Inc. I want to see many more people in our area live to their fullest potential using assistive technology."
We need your help! Your tax-deductible donation will provide the support we need to reach our goals. All proceeds will be directed to benefit operating support for ASSETS community-based assistive technology lab and programs. Thanks to a generous community of people and organizations like yourself, persons with disabilities will now have options and new found independence available to them they never imagined possible!
